On Tuesday, November 7, 2023 residents of the KMS School District approved a referendum to make critical improvements and address facility needs at the KMS Elementary and KMS High School buildings.

Months of meetings with architects, engineers and construction companies took place to finalize plans for the project to begin.

The KMS High School project began with renovation of locker room, office and media spaces to be completed by fall 2025.   Science and CTE ground breaking beginning 2025 to provide science instruction space and career and technical programs space.  This addition includes new code-required storm shelter requirements.  

Future plans will continue throughout the 2025-2026 school year with renovations to auditorium space, renovations to old science rooms and FACS room as well as continued construction to the new science classroom and tech spaces.
